The third outing of Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO), organized by İTKİB fairs, a subsidiary of Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB), was held on 8 – 11 February 2023. Gathering together all product groups in the ready wear and fashion industry under a single umbrella, Europe’s largest ready wear and fashion fair provided a significant added value to apparel exports, thanks to the business volume it created.
More than 22,500 visitors from 134 countries, the fashion show hosted some 600 exhibitors in nine different .
Attracting more than 22,500 visitors from 134 countries, the fashion show hosted some 600 exhibitors in nine different halls and offered a great opportunity for exhibitors to meet with sector professionals coming from across the world. During the event, B2B meetings were held between exhibitors and delegations consisting of potential buyers from target countries including Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, England, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, the United States and UAE.
At the fashion exhibition, product groups of women's, men's and children's apparel, as well as denim and sportswear, evening dresses, wedding dresses, underwear, socks, leather and fur garments, shoes and saddlery were on display for fashion lovers and sector representatives including fashion brands, textile vendors, retailers, textile manufacturers, sourcing providers and designers.

“The Core Istanbul” organization, aimed at bringing together fashion designers with international apparel buyers, was also held in a special section in the fair area, with fruitful outcomes in terms of the orders received and future business opportunities. Meanwhile, dedicated areas for “brands” and “sourcing” were designed for the first time as part of the event. In the “brands” area, sector leaders with high exports capability displayed their high-quality, sustainable and trend products to international buyers, and in the “sourcing area”, companies working with global brands for apparel sourcing and textile sourcing provided information about their performances in such processes as production and delivery.
Dedicated areas for “brands” and “sourcing” were designed for the first time as part of the event.
In addition, in the “trends” area prepared by Istanbul Moda Academy as in previous years, trends that will inspire the fashion industry and all related sectors, from fabrics to textures, and from clothing items to colors, were exhibited. Presented at the “trends” area, 2024 – 2025 winter trends featured the main themes of sustainability and technology, intertwined with the theme of recycling.
4th IFCO to be held in August 2023
Apparel and fashion fair IFCO will be held for the fourth time on 9 – 11 August 2023, featuring trend areas, seminars, workshops and fashion shows that will bring together design, interaction and experience especially in the topics of digital transformation, smart clothing, technical textiles and sustainability.
