TURKISH FASHION LEVELS UP: A DIGITAL AND GREEN MAKEOVER FOR GLOBAL EDGE

Türkiye’s fashion scene is embracing a powerful makeover one that blends digital innovation with eco conscious transformation. With a stylish €10.4 million in funding, a new wave of support is sweeping across the industry. Over 125 SMEs have received digital fashion design training, while 60 others underwent digital maturity assessments. And that’s not all more than 100 fashion forward businesses now benefit from expert guidance on digital transformation and social responsibility. Add to that 100+ quality focused tests in the apparel segment, and you’ve got a sector that’s walking confidently into the future.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, Zekeriya Coştu, highlighted Türkiye’s strong commitment to progress. With a focus on R&D, sustainability, and creative industries, the IPA-II program is backing 43 transformative projects across 23 cities fuelled by a €260 million budget that’s as bold as the vision behind it.

WHEN FASHION MEETS FUTURE

At a recent industry panel, Orka Holding’s Chairman Süleyman Orakçıoğlu shared how digitalization is redefining exports. While no name products now earn $15–16 per kilo, branded exports can fetch up to $100 per kilo. The message? Style and strategy matter.

Lisa Lang, Chair of the Open Connector Alliance, echoed the shift: “Sustainability is no longer a trend, it’s the new standard,” she said. According to Lang, green fashion is not only accessible, but essential, with price no longer being a barrier. Her call? A united front for a more mindful industry.

With sustainability stitched into every seam and digital savvy woven into its structure, Türkiye’s fashion and textile industry is turning heads on the global runway. This is not just transformation, it’s a style revolution.
